JOINING CRITERIA
Commission: Short Service Commission (SSC)
Age Limit: Up to 28 years
Nationality: Male citizen of Pakistan
Marital Status: Married or Unmarried
Height Requirement: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Eligible Degrees (Minimum 16 Years Education):
BE/BS in Software Engineering
BS in Computer Science
BS in Information Security
Academic Criteria:
Minimum CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0 or 62.5% marks in annual system
No 3rd division / Grade D throughout academic career
Only one 2nd division / Grade C allowed (Matric/FSc/O-Level)
Must have completed 4-year Bachelor of Engineering (even if holding a Master’s degree)
Degree must be from HEC/PEC recognized institutions in Pakistan or abroad
Candidates with Master’s degree and 2–3 years’ experience will be given preference
Appearing candidates can apply on Hope Certificate, but must submit final degree by 10 Sept 2025
INELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
The following are not eligible to apply:
Twice rejected by ISSB
Thrice failed in Initial Academic/Intelligence Tests
Appeared in ISSB within last 120 days (without waiver)
Dismissed/debarred from Govt. services or Armed Forces
Court conviction for any heinous offense
Declared permanently unfit by AMB or due to Hepatitis B/C
Withdrawn/discharged/resigned from military institutions
Forged or tampered academic documents
Positive drug test from CMH/AFIP
Trained in private ISSB coaching centers (disqualified if found)
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Step 1: Registration

Step 2: Initial Testing
Intelligence Test (MCQs):
Verbal: 84 Questions – 30 Minutes
Non-Verbal: 64 Questions – 30 Minutes
Academic Test (Subject Based):
Written test relevant to degree
Step 3: Physical Tests
Minimum fitness criteria:
1.6 Km Run in 9 minutes
Push-ups: 10 reps in 2 minutes
Crunches: 20 reps in 2 minutes
Pull-ups: 2 reps in 2 minutes
Better performance improves selection merit.
Step 4: Medical & Interviews
Preliminary Medical Exam at AS&RC
Shortlisted candidates undergo ISSB Tests/Interviews
Final Interview at GHQ Selection Board (Rawalpindi)
Complete Medical Exam at CMH for final recommendation
TRAINING PERIOD
6 Months Military Training at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Original degrees + 5 attested photocopies
NOC (if employed in Govt institution)
Attested domicile copy
CNIC + NADRA verification slip
6 attested color photographs (1 front, 5 back)
