If you’re passionate about animal health, agriculture, and national service, then becoming a Veterinary and Farm Officer (VFO) in the Pakistan Army is your chance to combine all three into a prestigious and purposeful career. As part of the Remount Veterinary and Farms Corps (RV&FC), you won’t just be treating animals — you’ll be playing a vital role in military livestock care, breeding, veterinary research, food safety, and animal health management across Pakistan’s armed forces. From maintaining the health of horses used by ceremonial units to managing Army dairy farms and livestock production, VFOs are an essential part of operational readiness. Officers in this corps also contribute to the welfare of military working animals, inspection of rations, and managing the biological safety of food chains in cantonments.
In addition, the Pak Army values and rewards expertise — officers with postgraduate degrees like M.Phil. or MSc (Hons) in relevant disciplines receive preference during selection. Whether you’re a fresh DVM graduate or a seasoned VASS officer currently serving, this role offers a path to growth, honor, and national pride in one of Pakistan’s most respected institutions.
